Halloween is a little different with big kids. They wanted to go with their friends and the two youngest went with Dad and a couple of friends. We had a low key relaxing night with carmel popcorn and hot dogs.

Schedule for the week

Below is mostly our evening schedule for the kids this past Tuesday - Saturday. It is full everyday of the week and I thought I would document this for the future. This is the reason I feel like I need more time in the day, just to be with my family.

To be honest, this is leaving on the Primary Practice on Saturday morning, Rylee's softball practice Saturday, Rylee's hitting lesson on Tuesday, and finally Rylee's slumber party on Friday that I think we are going to have to cancel. We can't do it all, but together we have a happy family!

Blue

Last night at 8:30 p.m. I called Travis.

Me: "Where are you?"

Travis in car with RHM, our 8 year old : "Almost home."

Me: "What happened? Why did the game go SO LATE?"

Travis: "Well, with 5 minutes left in the game they did an extra inning. That inning lasted 40 minutes."

Me: "WHAT?!? That is ridiculous! Somebody should have told Blue (the umpire) that it is a school night and these boys need to go to bed!"

Travis: "Huh."

Me: "I mean really - this is fall ball Little League. Nobody keeps score. The coaches barely keep a book. Why do they need to play that late on a school night?"

Travis: "Uh-huh."

Me: "Next time, you need to tell Blue (the ump) to call the game. Seriously! My boy needs to go to bed earlier on a school night. Crazy Blue!"

Travis: "I hear you. We are almost home. We will talk later. Okay?"
Me: "Okay. Miss you. Drive safe."

About 10 minutes later, RHM runs up to me and tells me about his game.

RHM: "Hey Mom! Guess what?"

Me: "What, buddy?"

RHM: "The umpire didn't show up, so Daddy got to be the umpire!"

Me: "Really? You don't say."

Look Ma! No hands!

Sunday after church

we had to finish the donuts left over from the piano recital,

so we had a donut contest. I think Princess won!

From a 4 year old's perspective

I am up at the kids' school often throughout the week and my lil' Sweetie needs to keep herself busy. Sometimes she borrows my camera phone and this is what you get.

Halloween theme 2011

This year 3 of the kids have decided to dress up at characters from Alice in Wonderland. We borrowed the Tim Burton version of this story from a friend and we can't stop watching it. We love it!
