This is the last day of 2008 and I wanted to do a year in review like I did last year here.

January 2008
Between Hello Dolly! starting with tryouts, Oldest getting 2 bearded dragons, Princess's birthday, starting a garden, President Hinkley dying, starting to babysit Sylvie more, the scouts setting up for the Super Bowl, and a breast infection - IT WAS A FULL MONTH!
February 2008
It looks like things slowed down a little this month. Except - I seemed to have gotten OBSESSED with my baby turning one!
I threw the biggest birthday party for her that I have ever done. She won't ever know, but I will! I also had the BIG Blue and Gold Banquet this month. I learned how to make homemade ice-cream with Karen's machine (I still love it and want one) and I made yummy appetizers for the Super Bowl from Pioneer Woman. I also made Belgium waffles for the teachers on Valentine's Day and helped a little with Hello, Dolly! Not to mention - pre-school for the Sylvie's friends. Maybe I was busy. Hmm.March 2008
FUN FUN FUN!
Spring break was the week of the traveling picnic basket! So fun! It went to the park, the Natural Bridge, to the snow, to the Easter Pageant in Mesa, and it stayed home to make mini- crafts.
I went camping with pure GIRL POWER! I stopped nursing Sweetie that weekend. :( We also finally planted a garden and a couple of fruit trees.

Good and Bad
Travis's Grandma who was 104 passed away, but he went to the funeral and got to have a reunion with his family. Travis sold his investment car, but at a loss. Play practice went on and on, and I finished making the Hello, Dolly! Cd's for the orchestra. We went to a few games (Diamondback and Coyotes). I experienced my first Migraine and didn't know it. I thought my eyes were failing me - HA! Oldest was in the council's Pinewood Derby. Travis got a new car - he loves it still!
May 2008
This is my favorite and busiest month of the year! It always has been since I have had a kid in school. Wrapping up the end of a school year entails parties to go to, gift for teachers to buy, honor roll reception to attend for Princess, packing meeting to plan and run, Oldest earning his Arrow of Light, trip to Showlow, and this year - HELLO, DOLLY! performance.
June 2008
My 3 good friends moved around this time. We had a one last hoorah out to dinner. I still miss them. I re-did my bathroom in Black and White for my birthday. Oldest had a birthday, Princess had the Princess Ball, RHM joined the swim team with the older two, and Sweetie learned to grunt for candy. Mostly we swam, swam, and swam some more! I did start working hard on the trek and even went on a pre-trek for 1 day this month.
July 2008

School started, RHM turned 5, my baby - Sweetie - went to nursery, VAPO started - AGAIN!
Then there was lots of loss. Time stood still for a friend when she lost her Trevee, Nie-Nie was in a plane crash and had/has a long recovery in front of her. A few other blogs I found this month motivated me to be grateful for my small, busy life. I felt sorrow for others who were hurting. I remember a pit in my stomach this month.
The Olympics was a highlight to my days! So inspiring.

RHM's kindergarten teacher moved to TX, I became acting President of the VAPO (parent organization at my school), still swimming, inherited 3 goldfish, Space Derby and Sweetie was sick for 4 weeks. YUCK!October 2008
Took the kids to Lava Tubes and had the best hair cut EVER!
3 days after I was voted in as the President of the VAPO, the parent organization Treasurer, Dawn experienced a tragedy. Her 2 1/2 year old daughter died in a hot car. Everyone - hug your baby a little tighter. I still pray for my friend everyday.

Yes! I voted, but mostly I am Grateful for friends - office staff graded papers for me. AMAZINGLY NICE. I took the kids to the Veterans Day parade. So moving. Spent lots of time at the school with Fall BBQ, book fair, Turkey Trot, etc. Traveled to Utah for Thanksgiving.

Pam's son got his mission call and JT was in his first movie!
Plus, my grandma died and my mom and Chrissy came out to PHX for Christmas.That is a quick review.
I left out that Oldest did basketball and flag football, Princess is taking dance, and RHM played 2 seasons of t-ball. Travis likes his job and we feel grateful to just have a job in this economy. Travis still plays golf and softball every chance he gets. Sweetie became the screamer of our house and that is her favorite way to communicate.
I am happy to be blessed in so many ways. I really feel like looking back on my year I have been taken care of by the Lord. I feel lucky to know I can rely on the blessings of the Atonement whenever I feel I can't do it alone. I feel that way a lot. As busy as I am, I wouldn't have it any other way.
